The Vision: The Scientist as a Whole Person
Traditional academic photography often reduces researchers to sterile, one-dimensional tropes: stiff lab coat poses or generic institutional badge photos. However, early-career researchers and PhD fellows are building multidimensional careers that require visual assets for international fellowships, keynote invitations, media outreach, and personal professional branding.
The goal of this session with Rita Kreevan, PhD researcher at the Institute of Genomics (University of Tartu), was to capture both dimensions: the rigorous academic professional and the vibrant individual behind the science.
